The main symptoms of ADHD

The main symptoms of ADHD are:

  • Inattention – you may have a short attention span, be easily distracted, disorganized or forgetful, or find it hard to complete actions and/or:
  • Hyperactivity and impulsiveness – for example you might tend to fidget, talk a lot, and often interrupt other people.
The symptoms may get you into difficulties

Of course everyone experiences these kinds of behavior from time to time, but you might experience these feelings more often, and they may often get you into difficulties at school, at home and even with friends.

Symptoms vary from person to person

Not everyone with ADHD is the same – for example some people find focusing on a task and remembering details (inattention) the most difficult, and others may find they have outbursts of temper and cannot control their moods (impulsive behavior), and some people might experience all the symptoms.
